Everyone hates seeing on their TV screen error messages. Fortunately, it’s usually easy to fix. If you see an error message with a 721, 724 or 725 number, it’s easy to get back on track.
This error means that your receiver is not allowed to watch your channel. It could be as simple as watching the channel you’re trying to watch is not allowed. It may not be in your package. This message can appear on a channel you’ve watched, however, and that’s frustrating.
This means that your receiver’s access card needs new authorisations. Fortunately, it’s quite easy. This is a step-by-step guide to solving this common problem.
- First, go to DIRECTV.com
- Go to “Solution 2: Refresh your service” and take the steps.
- Try it at least three times and give it 5 minutes to make sure it works.
- If this does not work, confirm that the access card #listed on directv.com is the same as the access card listed on the setup page (menu, settings and help, settings)
- Unfortunately, if that doesn’t work, you need to call DIRECTV.
