Solution 2: Verify Hosting and Services

Verify the Hosting
  • Open QuickBooks on every hosting computer and go to File > Utilities.
  • See Multi-User Host Access on the list, the file is not hosting this computer. Move to your next laptop. Remember on your workstation, don’t change anything.
  • Select it if you see Stop Multi-User Access Hosting.
  • File Must Close Window in the Company, click Yes.
Verify the Services

Ensure the beginning of QuickBooksDBXX and QBCFMonitor Service.

  1. Click the Start button for Windows.
  2. To bring up the run box, press the Windows key + R.
  3. Type MSC in the run box and press Enter.
  • Service window: scroll down and presence for QuickBooksDBXX service.
  • If QuickBooksDBXX Service cannot be viewed:
  • Confirm that the Database Server Manager has also been installed on the server
  • If you run the full program on the server, open QuickBooks, select and check to enable hosting.
